Custom Stone Columns: The Focal Point of Architectural Spaces

2025-01-21
Custom stone columns break the limitations of traditional flat slabs, infusing buildings with unique ceremony and artistry through tailored shapes, making them iconic elements of high-end projects.
Production Process
  1. Design Optimization: Based on architectural drawings, column curvature, height, and splicing methods are optimized to minimize material waste while aligning with block dimensions.

  2. Block Shaping: Diamond wire saws cut blocks into rough cylindrical blanks, which are then precision-machined with CNC lathes to achieve initial curvature.

  3. Precision Carving & Polishing: CNC profiling machines refine the surface for smooth arcs, with hand carving for intricate details like patterns or lines. A final mirror polish completes the finish.

  4. Splicing & Reinforcement: Columns over 3 meters tall are fabricated in sections with embedded stainless steel reinforcement bars. Installation uses epoxy resin for structural integrity.

Industry Applications
Primarily used as decorative columns in hotel lobbies, office building entrances, and villa courtyards, as well as in landscape fountains and monuments. They are particularly prominent in European and neoclassical architectural styles.
Transportation & Handling
  1. Transportation: Wrapped in custom curved foam and wooden frames, with steel plate reinforcement at both ends to prevent rolling and collision. Long-distance transport requires secure mounting on specialized racks, with speeds limited to 60km/h.

  2. Handling: Installation begins with a reinforced concrete foundation, using embedded bolts to connect to steel base plates. After adjusting verticality, marble adhesive fills gaps, followed by surface cleaning and protection.
